Antibiotics

In this range

For use under medical advice.

Antibiotics treat infections caused by bacteria. They do not work against viruses, so they do not help a common cold or flu. A doctor chooses one by the bacteria most likely to be involved and where the infection is.

This range includes a macrolide, azithromycin, and a penicillin, amoxycillin, combined with clavulanic acid. Clavulanic acid protects amoxycillin from the enzymes some bacteria use to resist it.

Take the full course exactly as prescribed, even once you feel better. Stopping early can let the infection come back and helps bacteria become resistant.

Every medicine here is for use under medical advice. Each product page has its full composition, uses, side effects and safety advice.
