How MOVIQ Gel works

Diclofenac passes through the skin and reduces prostaglandins, the chemicals that cause pain and swelling, where the gel is applied. Methyl salicylate and menthol are counter-irritants: their warming and cooling sensations distract from the pain.

How to use MOVIQ Gel

  • Apply a thin layer to the painful area and rub in gently, or as directed by the physician.
  • Wash your hands after use, unless the hands are being treated.
  • Do not apply to broken or irritated skin, eyes, mouth or other mucous membranes. Do not cover with a tight bandage.

If you miss a dose

Apply it when you remember, then continue as usual. Do not apply extra to make up.
